Topic: A Magnificent Home for God
Opening Prayer: Lord, I pray that you lead me into your truth as I meditate on your word in Jesus name.
Scripture: 2 Chronicles 2:1‐18
Question(s) for Reflection
• What truth is God revealing to me in this passage?
Read v.5 and identify why God’s home or temple should be magnificent. Indeed, He is a great God and deserves the best. Solomon was determined to carry on his father’s wish. He put in his best in preparing for this building. He gathered many workers and skilled men to prepare the needed materials. This is a good example for us to follow. In the service of the Lord, we should employ our best effort.
It is a great privilege for us to be involved in the Lord’s work. We should do it wholeheartedly (Colossians 3:23,24). Vs.5&6 are noteworthy and commendable! Do you identify and measure up to this testimony from Solomon? Notice the quality of the materials Solomon used (vs.7‐9)? In 2 Corinthians 6:16 we learn that Christians are the temple of the living God. With what type of materials are you building and maintaining God’s temple ‐ perishable or imperishable ones? See 1 Peter 1:18, 19 &23.

• Lord, I cannot build my life as your home unless you do it. Please take over my life and make it a magnificent home for you.
